University School Signs 21 Student Athletes to Colleges on National Signing Day

Signing DayOn February 5, University School of Nova Southeastern University signed 21 student athletes to colleges across the country. National Signing Day, (usually the first Wednesday of February), is the first day that high school seniors can sign a binding National Letter of Intent for college athletics with schools that are members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

University School students who signed were:

  1.  Brendan McKendry – Flagler College (Baseball)
  2. Freddie Sultan – Winthrop University (Baseball)
  3. LaJuan Hunt – Utah State University (Football)
  4. Quincy Wilson – University of Florida (Football)
  5. Ephraim Levy – Bryant University (Football)
  6. Brandon Russell – Rutgers University (Football)
  7. Richard Yeargin III – Clemson University (Football)
  8. Adam Sinkoe – Washington & Jefferson College (Baseball)
  9. David Omsky – Emory University (Boys Tennis)
  10. Emily Kopas – University of Michigan (Swimming/Diving)
  11. Jordy Groters – University of Missouri (Swimming/Diving)
  12. Marco Hosfeld – Duke University (Swimming/Diving)
  13. Jordan Gumberg – University of Tennessee (Boys Golf)
  14. Jarius Brown – Dartmouth College (Football)
  15. Emmanuel Soto – Air Force Academy (Football)
  16. Sean White – Auburn University (Football)
  17. Chris Taylor – Duke University (Football)
  18. Andrew DiRocco – Tulane University (Football)
  19. Daniel Epstein – University of Miami (Baseball)

  21. Ryan Khan – Wagner College (Tennis)

The University School Athletic Department recently announced that 100 percent of their fall sports athletic teams were eligible for the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Academic Team Champion Recognition Program. The FHSAA honors academic achievement in each of its sports classifications.   Plans are also underway to break ground for University School’s Sports Center II this spring.  The Sports Center II will boast a state-of-the-art fitness center, multiple courts for basketball and volleyball, as well as a variety of areas for physical fitness activities and programming.
