NSU Kicks Off Hispanic Heritage Month With 10th Annual Cine Argentino Festival, Sept. 9

Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center, the Consulate General of Argentina in Miami and the Cultural Mexico Institute will hostg the Cine Argentino Film Festival to be held on NSU’s Davie campus Sept. 9-30 in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Series of FREE Events at NSU – Sept. 15 to Nov. 1

Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will recognize Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 – Oct. 15) by celebrating and learning about the Latin culture through a series of events for children, adults and families throughout the fall.

One highlight of the series will be the FREE Hispanic Heritage Month Fiesta on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 1-3 p.m. It will feature a meet-and-greet with a favorite Explorer-Gal, authentic mariachi music by Mariachi Pancho Villa and the storytelling performance of Pura Belpré Award-winning author Lucia Gonzalez.


Argentine Film Series Coming to NSU in October

CINE Argentino, an Argentinean film series, is coming to Nova Southeastern University (NSU) with screenings each Sunday in October. All four films are free and open to the public and will be held in the auditorium of the Carl DeSantis Building on NSU’s main campus at 3301 College Ave.

Argentinean actress and journalist Adriana Bianco will provide commentary at the first screening on Oct. 5. The series is being presented by the Alvin Sherman Library at NSU, South Regional BCC Library, and the Argentinean Consulate in Miami as part of Hispanic Heritage Month.


Nova Southeastern University to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with “Sabor de NSU”

Nova Southeastern University will recognize Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15) by celebrating and learning about the Latin culture through a series of events titled Sabor de NSU.

Below is a listing of events during Sabor de NSU, which translates to Flavor of NSU. All events are free and open to the public and will be held on NSU’s main campus (3301 College Ave.).
