Support NSU IDEA and American Diabetes Association Grant Partnership

diabetesNSU seeks to address the pressing needs of diabetes management and prevention in Broward County by cultivating the knowledge and experience of interprofessional health care teams and working with partnering organizations.

NSU IDEA (Interprofessional Diabetes Education and Awareness) is sponsoring a series of community programs to increase awareness about diabetes and provide practical lessons to improve the health of the participants and their families in Broward County. During the year, interprofessional teams of faculty and students from the Colleges of Health Care Sciences, Nursing, Osteopathic Medicine, Pharmacy, and Optometry will host workshops on important topics related to diabetes that are free and open to the public. For more information about NSU’s Interprofessional Diabetes Education and Awareness (IDEA) Initiative, visit www.nova.edu/chcs/idea.
