SSC Mayors’ Cup Released with NSU Women Tabbed Third
The Sunshine State Conference has released the 2013-14 Mayors’ Cup, the conference’s all-sports trophy. The Nova Southeastern University women finished third overall in the conference while the men finished seventh.
First presented following the 1986-87 academic year, the award was traditionally sponsored by the mayors of the nine communities in which SSC member institutions are located. In the women’s division, points are awarded based on final regular-season conference standings in basketball, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. For cross country, golf, rowing and swimming points are award based on a team’s finish at their respective conference championship event.
