Smith Joins 2017-18 NSU Women’s Basketball Signing Class

The Nova Southeastern University women’s basketball team and head coach LeAnn Freeland-Curry have announced the signing of local standout guard Taylor Smith.

he 5-7 Plantation, Fla. native averaged 14 points, five rebounds and six steals during her senior year at American Heritage HS. During her final season, she was named to the 2017 All-Broward County Second Team from Sun Sentinel and earned the title of 2017 MVP of the Broward/Dade All Star Game. Smith was also named 2017 Defensive Player of the Year for American Heritage Girls Basketball. As a junior, she grabbed a spot on the 2016 First-Team All-Broward County from Sun Sentinel.
