SHSS Faculty Presents at ISA South

Cheryl Duckworth, Ph.D.

Cheryl Duckworth, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) participated in the International Studies Association South Conference held at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL.  Duckworth’s presentation was entitled, “Peace Education Initiatives in Afghanistan.” She also served as Chair and Discussant for the panel entitled “Active Learning, Distance Learning, Service Learning and More: Successes and Challenges.”

Duckworth is the faculty advisor for the Peace and Conflict Education Working Group at SHSS. The mission of the group is to equip and empower schools worldwide to be examples and builders of peace.
