SHSS Faculty Presents at International Studies Association Conference in New Orleans

Bertha Kadenyi Amisi, Ph.D.

Bertha Kadenyi Amisi, Ph.D., faculty in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in NSU’s Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), recently presented at the 2015 International Studies Association (ISA) Conference held in New Orleans.

The conference theme was “Global IR and Regional Worlds.” Amisi’s presentation was titled: “Women’s Peace Activism and Regional Institutions: Exploring Social Actors Mechanisms of Engaging Regional Institutions.” This was part of a panel on the topic “What is Critical about Peace Studies.”

Her research and teaching interests include political conflict, peaceful resolution of conflict, globalization and state-society relations in Afric, and gender and conflict.
