SHSS Alum Named First Student Conduct Coordinator in Student Housing at University of Mississippi

Patience Bryant, Ph.D.

Patience Bryant, Ph.D., doctoral graduate of  the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR), in NSU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), has been named the first Student Conduct Coordinator in the Department of Student Housing at the University of Mississippi. Bryant also received her Graduate Certificate in College Student Personnel Administration from the Department of Multidisciplinary Studies (DMS) at SHSS. She indicated that, “I will be the first person to have that position and credit the courses that I took through the CSA (College Student Affairs) program while working on my graduate certificate in College Student Personnel Administration for helping me get here.”

Bryant is a former NSU employee having been a records custodian in the Department of Public Safety and earlier, an administrative assistant at the University School. While an NSU student she completed practicums in judicial affairs and in mediation in the Division of Student Affairs. She earned her B.A. in Multimedia Journalism from Florida Atlantic University and her M.A. in Mass Communication from the University of Central Florida.
