SHSS Alum is Coordinator for Florida Recruitment at Georgia Southern University

Patricia Beavan, M.S.

Patricia Beavan, M.S.

Patricia Beavan, M.S, graduate of the Master’s program in College Student Affairs (CSA) in the Department of Multidisciplinary Studies (DMS) in NSU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) is the Coordinator of Florida Recruitment in the Office of Admissions at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. In addition she is the coordinator of the Eagles Incentive Program during the summer for provisionally accepted students.

Beavan credits her education and training while in the CSA program, including her graduate assistantship and practicum experiences as being instrumental in her success.

Beavan said, “As a Graduate Assistant at NSU, I was able to volunteer for projects and events with several student affairs offices, as well as complete two practicums outside of NSU that really equipped me with a wide array of skills. These skills, like designing assessments, helping with orientations, mentoring student, planning large events, and leading committees, are all experiences that I draw upon in my position now.  I am thankful for my time at NSU and all that came with it.”
