Customer Service in more than 170 languages – NSU University Call Center Adds Language Services

The Nova Southeastern University Call Center (UCC) has recently contracted with global language service provider TransPerfect allowing the university’s call center representatives to service callers in over 170 languages. The expansion of the university’s global reach along with the recent grand opening of the regional campus in San Juan, Puerto Rico, have led to an increase in call volume from speakers of other languages. When a speaker of another language calls the UCC, the call center representative will conference in a TransPerfect translator for simultaneous interpretation.

About the University Call Center: The University Call Center (UCC), located at the East Campus, is the gateway to NSU via telephone and email for students, faculty, staff, and the external community. The UCC answers calls relating to Enrollment and Student Services (ESS) services and university events, and schedules appointments for NSU’s clinics. Upon request, the UCC assists the university with select outbound calling campaigns. Operating under the University Call Center, the Help Desk provides telephone and email support to NSU students, faculty, and staff. Support services include assistance with connecting to NSU’s online computing systems, navigating through the secure course management platform, supporting wireless computing on campus, and configuring various software programs and browsers.

For more information, contact Joe Garcia, Director of the University Call Center at elpidio@nova.edu or (954) 262-3567.
