School of Criminal Justice Professor Co-Authors Book
Jennifer Allen, Ph.D
Jennifer Allen, Ph.D., Professor at NSU’s School of Criminal Justice, recently co-authored the book, The SAGE Guide to Writing in Criminal Justice. The book equips students with transferable writing skills that can be applied across the field of criminal justice both academically and professionally.
Allen has worked with juveniles in detention, on probation, and with those victimized by abuse and neglect. She has served on advisory boards for Big Brother/Big Sister mentoring programs, Rainbow Children’s Home, domestic violence/sexual assault programs, and teen courts.
She has been published in the areas of restorative justice, juvenile delinquency and justice, youth programming, police crime, and police administration and ethics. Additionally, Dr. Allen is also the coauthor of Criminal Justice Administration: A Service Quality Approach and Juvenile Justice: A Guide to Theory, Policy, and Practice.
