Robotics Inspire U School Students to Innovate

University School Robotics

University School Robotics

The study of robotics directly addresses Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education and is nationally recognized as the most critical academic discipline for success in the 21st century. University School students engaged in the study of robotics gain an operational understanding of engineering allowing them to answer how electronic signals are sent, how much weight a motor will lift, and how gear ratios affect speed and torque. Robotics and engineering students combine their knowledge of safety, project management, programming and electronics to design, build, and program innovative robotic projects.

To enhance learning, students participate in VEX Robotics Competitions such as The Robot Apocalypse World Qualifier where they placed third in a field of 35 teams. University School students enjoy undertaking the engineering challenges available to them in robotics classes, clubs, and competitions. In addition, the robotics field offers thousands of dollars in scholarships and recognition from NASA and other corporations.
