Department of Cardiopulmonary Sciences’ respiratory therapy students from NSU’s Palm Beach Campus were out in full force to show their support for pediatric cancer patients at the Stronger Than Cancer 5K Walk at Roger Dean Stadium. Hosted by Pediatric Oncology Support Team (POST), the event marked the end of Pediatric Cancer Month (September). Many of the students arrived at 5:30 a.m. to help set up the walking course and others assisted with water for the participants, while others volunteered at the kids fun zone. The event was a huge success for POST, and the students had a fun time supporting people with cancer, cancer survivors, and those walking in memory of others.
