Price recognized by College of Pharmacy as Distinguished Alumni



Venessa S. Price, Pharm.D., class of ’98.



Venessa S. Price, Pharm.D., class of ’98, was honored as the College of Pharmacy (COP) Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award at Nova Southeastern University’s 2012 Celebration of Excellence in January at the Signature Grand in Davie.  Price was conferred this award for her outstanding career accomplishments; her contributions to our diverse communities; the leadership roles she has undertaken in her professional and personal life; and for the critical roles she has within the College of Pharmacy.  Over the years, Price has presented to the students of the NSU COP in a variety of venues including Dean’s Hour, Therapeutics, White Coat Ceremony, and the Residency Showcases.  Price has also presented at NSU’s Fall Classic and Annual Contemporary Pharmacy Issues programs on a variety of topics.

Currently, Price is director of Pharmacy Services at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami.   After receiving her Pharm.D. degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1998, she completed an Accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency at New England Medical Center with the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) in Boston, MA.  involved in a variety of services for all healthcare settings and practitioners.

Price is a member of the Florida Medicaid Drug Utilization Review Board and University Health System Consortium, Pharmacy Practice Advancement Committee.  She is currently President of the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
