NSU’s Human Trafficking Prevention Efforts Highlighted in Sun-Sentinel

CREATE openhouseNSU recently celebrated the opening of its new headquarters for CREATE (Coalition for Research and Education Against Trafficking and Exploitation) at its Miramar campus. CREATE was founded by Brianna Black Kent, Ph.D., and Sandrine Gaillard-Kenney, Ed.D., from NSU’s College of Health Care Sciences in January 2015 and aims to equip all members of the community, including private citizens, educators, current and future health care professionals, and organizations with skills to identify victims of human trafficking resulting in increased reporting and referrals to appropriate health and social services.
