In a new report, Thomas MacFarland, Ed.D., from the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, demonstrates that Nova Southeastern University had an economic impact on Florida that approached $2.6 billion during fiscal year 2010-2011.

The economic impact study is a research tool that has been used in higher education for nearly 40 years. In this study, it was determined that, during fiscal year 2010-2011, NSU had more than a $1.7 billion economic impact on Broward County and a nearly $1.9 billion economic impact on South Florida.
