NSU Women’s Basketball player Nabs SSC Player of the Week Award
After guiding the Nova Southeastern women’s basketball team to a perfect 2-0 showing during the NSU Thanksgiving Classic, guard Christen Prasse has been selected as the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
The junior averaged 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists as the Sharks improved to a conference-best record of 5-1 on the season with wins over both Valdosta State and Armstrong State. In addition, Prasse shot a combined 65.2 percent from the field along the way, while committing just three turnovers in 71 total minutes of action.
