NSU Track and Field Will Send Four Women to NCAA’s

Shakira Bartley, Sherrelle Jordan, Shannon Rolle and Ciona Williams will complete for a national title.

The NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country Committee has announced the participants for the 2016 NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships. A total of 754 participants, 377 men and 377 women, will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the championships by reaching the automatic and provisional standards established for each event. The complete list of qualifiers is available at LeoneTiming.com.

The championships will be held May 26-28 in Bradenton, Florida at IMG Academy.  The University of Tampa and IMG Academy will serve as co-hosts of the championships. The championships will be streamed live on NCAA.com each day.

The Nova Southeastern University women’s track and field team will send Shakira Bartley, Sherrelle Jordan, Shannon Rolle and Ciona Williams to the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track. While all four runners qualified for the women’s 4×100 meter relay, Jordan and Williams will also compete in their own individual events. A junior from Chandler, Ariz., Jordan will compete in the women’s 100-meter hurdles, while Williams will have to opportunity to run in the women’s 100-meter dash.
