NSU Swimmer, Emma Wahlstrom, Earns National Distinction
In the most recent CollegeSwimming.com National Swimmer of the Week selections, Nova Southeastern University’s Emma Wahlstrom emerged as the Division II female selection for the weeks Dec. 16 through Jan. 15.
The national award comes on the heels of a near flawless performance in the pool in the Sharks last three outings including the Spartan Invitational in December, where she swam 10 events resulting in nine first-place finishes and one second place finish. She also set NCAA automatic qualifying times in the 200 and 500 freestyle and 200 back stroke events and broke five school records in the 200 free, 500 free, 100 backstroke, 400 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay events.
