NSU Student Featured in American Pharmacists Association Video

Did you know?

Pharmacists are not currently recognized as healthcare providers under federal law, despite having more medication education and training than any other health care professional. The American Pharmacists Association (AphA) has embarked on a campaign to achieve “provider status,” which will recognize pharmacists as valued members of the health care team, and allow them to use their unique skills and extensive education to enhance patient health.

As part of this campaign, pharmacists from throughout the nation have filmed video testimonials about how they provide patient care, and what provider status will mean to them personally and professionally. NSU College of Pharmacy student Healther Jarvis was selected to participate in the campaign.
