NSU Set to Celebrate Homecoming 2008

FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. — Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will celebrate its 2008 Homecoming from Feb. 15-23 with special events on the school’s main campus.

The week-long activities will culminate with the unveiling of NSU’s Time Capsule and Wall of History at the Presidential Homecoming Tailgate on Feb. 23 at the University Center. A time capsule filled with current university materials such as yearbooks, school catalogs and NSU Sharks license plates will be placed behind a wall in the University Center. The wall includes a plaque, a timeline of NSU’s history, and a chronometer that will count down from 50 years in years, days, hours, minutes and seconds. The chronometer will be started by NSU President Ray Ferrero, Jr., at the unveiling ceremony, setting the date for the time capsule to be reopened on Feb. 23, 2058.
