NSU researcher highlighted on Discover Channel Canada during Shark Week

Nathan Unger, Pharm.D., assistant professor of pharmacy at NSU’s Palm Beach Campus, works closely with Robert Borrego, M.D., at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL, on research to swab sharks’ teeth and determine which bacteria are most common in different species. The goal is to develop more targeted antibiotics to treat victims of shark bites.

The two researchers were highlighted on Discover Channel Canada during Shark Week. Click here to watch the segment. Dr. Unger appears at the 3:45 time stamp.
