NSU Finance and Economics Professor Weighs In on Federal Funds Rate

Albert Williams, Ph.D.

Albert Williams, Ph.D.

On March 21, 2018 the Federal Open Market Committee met to discuss the federal funds rate. Days before, WalletHub.com reached out to Albert Williams, Ph.D., associate professor of finance and economics at NSU’s H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship, to get his expert perspective on the importance and implications of Federal Reserve policies. He was also asked to comment on how recent changes in personnel, at the Federal Reserve and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, would affect these policies.

Williams’ commentary, and the article as a whole, helps educate consumers who may not understand the federal funds rate or how it affects them. Any person who uses credit cards or has a mortgage, auto loan, or deposit account, will find valuable information in this article.
