NSU Professor Presents at the University of Arizona

Picture1

Robert Speth, Ph.D, recently traveled to Tucson Arizona to give a presentation “The History of Angiotensin 1-7: Part one” to the Pharmacology Department of the Colleges of Pharmacy and Medicine at the University of Arizona.  It was a homecoming for Speth as he did his Post-Doctoral research training under the guidance of Dr. Hank Yamamura in the Department of Pharmacology.

Dr. Yamamura’s widow, Susan hosted a luncheon for Speth and his wife Janet which included several former students and fellows of Dr. Yamamura as well as several old friends.

In addition to his presentation, Speth toured the University’s newly opened BioScience Research Laboratories (BSRL) and the BIO5 Institute www.bio5.org a coalition of 5 core sciences: Agriculture, Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy and Science that is addressing 21st century life sciences challenges.
