NSU College of Pharmacy students/alumna Nayeli Montes; Nicole Hope, Pharm.D.; Ariel Jordan, Faren French, suprise Jaime Riskin, Pharm.D., BCPS, clinical assistant professor, for being a mentor to them on “Steve Harvey.”

Tune-in to “Steve Harvey” on Friday, February 19 as Steve welcomes four students from Nova Southeastern University who surprised their professor with a huge “thank you” on the “Steve Harvey” stage!

In the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area, “Steve Harvey” airs on NBC 6 South Florida (WTVJ), weekdays at 3:00 p.m. Check local listings or go to www.steveharveytv.com/ for time and channel in other markets.

On Friday’s episode of “Steve Harvey,” Steve welcomes four pharmacy students from NSU’s College of Pharmacy — Nayeli Montes, Nicole Hope, Ariel Jordan and Faren French — who want to surprise Jaime Riskin, Pharm.D., BCPS, clinical assistant professor, of Pompano Beach, and thank her for being an amazing mentor to them.

Riskin prides herself on helping to mold the minds of future pharmacists, but last year, her passion almost came to a screeching halt, when she faced the terrifying diagnosis of a brain tumor. Miraculously, she survived the ordeal with surgery and radiation. Riskin joins Steve Harvey under the impression that she will talk about her medical scare, but what she doesn’t know, is that her students want to honor her on national television!

After her students thank her on the “Steve Harvey” stage, Steve Harvey will gift her with $5,000 on behalf of Green Dot. Tune-in on Friday for the heartwarming segment!
