The NSU Orlando regional campus recently initiated a program called “Recognizing Orlando Sharks,” which identifies graduates in the Orlando area and recognizes their achievements and accomplishments.

The first alumni chosen for the program was Susan Deck, who recently earned her M.S. in Cognitive Behavior Disorder. Deck accepted a position with Dover Shores Elementary this month and stated, “I am so thankful for my years at NSU and the opportunity to earn not only my bachelor’s in special education, but also my master’s in cognitive behavior with the emphasis on emotional behavior disorder which has led me to the greatest opportunity of my life, to give back to these students who so need an opportunity just like I have been given.”
