NSU HPD Library Makes Donation to University of Guyana in South America

NSU donated more than 100 books to the optometry program at the University of Guyana. The donation was coordinated by Michele Ming, president of the Caribbean Association of Optometrists and the Guyana Association of Optometrists, Janet Leasher, O.D., MPH, FAAO, Associate Professor and Director of Community Outreach at NSU College of Optometry, Majid Anwar, HPD library liaison to the NSU College of Optometry, and Jennifer Daratany, Administrative Assistant for the NSU College of Optometry. The donation includes books on eye examinations, contact lenses, low vision, dispensing, clinical practices in optometry, anatomy, physiology, lasers, primary eye care, eye diseases and clinical ophthalmology. Mings Products and Services facilitated the shipping of the books from USA to Guyana at no cost to the university.
