NSU College of Dental Medicine Celebrates Ten Year Alumni Weekend

Approximately 75 NSU College of Dental Medicine (CDM) alumni and friends gathered at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale on the evening of Sept. 24 to kick-off the CDM 10 year alumni weekend. Nearly 50 percent of the class of 2000 attended Friday’s event. The welcoming faculty, who taught at CDM in 2000, included CDM Dean Robert Uchin, D.D.S.; Abby Brodie D.M.D, M.S., associate dean for curriculum affairs; Marvin Golberg, D.D.S., assistant professor of prosthodontics; Tony Gotlieb, D.D.S., M.S., associate professor of prosthodontics; Peter Keller, D.D.S., executive associate dean for academic and clinical resources; Hal Lippman, D.D.S.; associate dean for admissions, student affairs and alumni; Mark Romer, D.D.S., assistant professor of predoctoral clinics; and Walter Askinas, D.D.S., professor emeritus.

The alumni reunited on Saturday at a continuing education course and joined faculty and staff later that evening for dinner at the Hard Rock Café’s Tuscany Wine Bar. Everyone in attendance agreed that the first official10 year reunion was a great success.
