NSU Alumni Spotlight: Fabien Pampaloni, B.S.N. (’08)

08-085-14 MCS DAA Program Booklet 2014

Fabien Pampaloni, B.S.N. (’08)

Fabien Pampaloni, B.S.N. (’08), is an international business affairs specialist for Pocket Nurse®. He is responsible for promoting patient safety through the use of simulation products and theories in eight international territories and developing international trade and distributor agreements. He also works to find economical ways to create realistic simulation labs and adapt simulation into curricula, sponsoring and supporting simulation events worldwide.

Pampaloni served as a research technology assistant to Linda Wilson, R.N., Ph.D., on a project that received a $1.49-million grant from the Department of Health and Human Services—Health Resources and Services Administration. He has contributed chapters to books, including “Abdominal Surgery” in Perianestheia Nursing Care: A Bedside Guide to Safe Recovery and “What is a Standardized Patient?” “Human Simulation Team Cases for Undergraduate Nursing,” “Human Simulation with Perioperative Patients,” and “Hybrid Simulation” in Human Simulation for Nursing and Health Professions.

Pampaloni earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ecole de Commerce de Malagnou in Geneva, Switzerland. He is treasurer for Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, a member of the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning, and a member of the National Nurses in Business Association.

Pampaloni credits NSU with promoting understanding of the “big picture” and encouraging students to pursue their dreams and never give up. His fond memories include “trembling in my clogs every time Dr. Woolley would step into the classroom,” as well as his first clinical rotation, becoming National Student Nurses Association NSU chapter president, and the lifetime bonds he created with classmates throughout the program.
