Nova Southeastern University Students Host President Health Care Forum

FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern University students will host a presidential health policy forum on Thursday, Oct. 16 featuring supporters of Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain.

The forum, titled Uncovering the Future of Health Policy, will feature U.S. Rep. Ron Klein, a Democrat, and state Rep. Rene Garcia, a Republican.

Klein will be speaking about Obama’s health policy proposals, while Garcia will be speaking about McCain’s health policy proposals. This is a forum, not a debate.

The public is invited to the forum, which will begin at 5:30 p.m. at NSU’s Health Profession Division’s Steele Auditorium, located at the university’s main campus in Ft. Lauderdale-Davie. The Health Professions Division is located at the corner of University Drive and 30th Street. Parking is free.

The health care policy forum is sponsored by NSU Health Profession Division students who are members of the Student Osteopathic Medical Association, American Medical Women’s Association, Christian Medical and Dental Association, American Medical Student Association and the College of Osteopathic Medicine Student Government Association.
