FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FORT LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – Jessica Brumley, B.A. has been appointed Vice President for Facilities at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). The announcement was made today by NSU President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. George Hanbury.

“Jessica is a born leader,” Hanbury said.  “Her knowledge of NSU’s infrastructure, public safety and environmental issues as well as her leadership skills make her the perfect fit for this position.”

In her new role, Brumley is responsible for the university’s physical plant, construction and public safety.  As such, she will oversee the maintenance and renovation of the buildings, grounds and infrastructure of NSU’s Fort Lauderdale-Davie and regional campuses. She is also responsible for ensuring the safety of students, faculty, staff and visitors.

Under Brumley’s supervision and guidance, NSU will continue to ensure its facilities support is student-centered by receiving reliable power and featuring modern classrooms and research facilities to be utilized by students, faculty and staff.  She will also oversee NSU’s effort to advance sustainability through waste reduction, recycling and energy management programs.

Brumley has served NSU in various capacities – most recently as Interim Vice President for Facilities and prior to that, as the university’s Executive Director of Facilities. Before joining the NSU family, Brumley worked at AutoNation as Facilities and Industry Relations Manager.

She has a B.A. in Architecture from the University of Pittsburgh and is completing an M.S. in Conflict Resolution from NSU. She is a board member with March of Dimes and a member of the Urban Land Institute.  She was recently a South Florida Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award winner.

Jessica and her husband reside in Fort Lauderdale with their daughter.
