Law Professor Accepted for Publication, Quoted in Article

An article by David Cleveland, associate professor of law at NSU’s Shepard Broad Law Center, has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Appellate Practice and Process. The article surveys and analyzes federal circuit local rules on publication, precedent, and citation.

Previous articles by Cleveland regarding unpublished opinions — “Overturning the Last Stone” and “Draining the Morass” — were cited in a pair of petitions for certiorari before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Cleveland was also quoted extensively in an article in the ABA Journal on Mar. 11 titled “A Judge’s Unusual Request: Don’t Print This in Westlaw or Lexis.” The article can be viewed here.
