HPD Chancellor Wins Health Educator Award

Fred Lippman, R.Ph., Ed.D.

Fred Lippman, R.Ph., Ed.D., chancellor of Nova Southeastern University’s Health Profession Division, won a prestigious award on Oct. 6 from the South Florida Business Journal. He was presented with the Educator Award, which is given to the most impactful health care educator in the tri-county area.

The publication’s 2011 Excellence in Health Care Awards luncheon honored local individuals and organizations making a difference in the health care industry. It was held at the Westin Ft. Lauderdale. There were winners in eight categories: CEO, community outreach, educator, employer, health care company, innovator, hospital, and the MassMutual Citizenship Award. The other finalists in the educator category were Lynne Palma of the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University and Elena Gamez of Dade Medical College.
