Halmos Faculty Member Selected As Outstanding Alumnus in China

Matthew He, Ph.D., professor, and assistant dean at the NSU Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography, was selected as one of the outstanding alumni by Shanxi Normal University where he received his B.S. Degree in Mathematics in 1982. He was invited to attend the university’s 60th anniversary celebration (1958-2018) during September 14-17, 2018.

During the celebration, Dr. He presented a lecture on Mathematics of Bioinformatics to graduate students and faculty members. He presented a copy of his book entitled “Advances in Bioinformatics and its Applications” published by World Scientific Series in Mathematical Biology and Medicine, Vol. 8, 2005, to Dr. Jianguo Wei, President of Shanxi Normal University.
