FCE Provides Thanksgiving Dinner for Five Families of Westwood Heights Elementary School
In the spirit of the holiday season the faculty and staff of NSU’s Fischler College of Education held a special Thanksgiving food drive for five families of Westwood Heights Elementary School, located in Ft. Lauderdale.
FCE worked with Freda Anderson, the social worker assigned to the school, who identified the families in need. Each family was given a box of food, with all the Thanksgiving fixings, along with a $50 gift card to purchase their own Thanksgiving turkey and other items they may need.
FCE is planning to work with Westwood Heights in December to provide holiday dinners to additional families.
