FCE Graduate Receives 2018 Northeast Wisconsin Golden Apple Award

Liz Moehr, M.A., graduate of NSU’s Fischler College of Education (FCE) is a 2018 Northeast Wisconsin Golden Apple Award Winner.  She has been teaching Family and Consumer Science at Pulaski High School since 2002. Mrs. Moehr teaches Foods for Life, Baking & Pastry Arts, Tastes of Culture, Food Science, Culinary Arts 1, and Culinary Arts 2. She is also her school’s ProStart adviser, the National Restaurant Association’s student organization. In addition to her undergraduate and graduate degrees, she has completed levels of the National Restaurant Association’s Summer Institute ProStart Educator training at Minneapolis, MN, and Orlando, FL, Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Schools.

The Greater Green Bay Chamber’s Golden Apple Awards celebrates education, the foundation of its community and recognizes high standards of professionalism, leadership and innovation in teaching. After an extensive selection process based on the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards, educators were selected. Mrs. Moehr will be honored at a ceremony on April 18.

She earned her Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning from FCE in 2005.
