Faculty to Perform Piano, Vocal Works at Mystic and Modern Recital, March 19

pianoExperience a recital of vocal and piano performances that aim to touch the soul, as faculty members from the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences present an evening of music for the NSU community.

Mystic and Modern | Faculty Series
Wednesday, Mar. 19

7:30 p.m.
Performing and Visual Arts Wing, Room 309 | Don Taft University Center

This Faculty Series recital will feature performances by pianist Jennifer Donelson, D.M.A., assistant professor, and soprano Susan Chastain, M.M., adjunct professor. In addition to teaching music courses at NSU, Donelson researches the works of French composers Olivier Messiaen and Charles Tournemire, music in early 20th Century Paris, and Gregorian chant. She also directs the Bossa Nova Chorale, NSU’s premier vocal ensemble. Chastain performs in choirs across South Florida, has written a musical, and serves as the chorale’s associate director.

Mystic and Modern is free, and all are welcome to attend. Tickets are not required for admission, although space is limited and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, contact Jennifer Donelson at (954) 262-7610.
