Enjoy a Summer of Free Family Fun at the NSU Alvin Sherman Library, Ends Aug. 6

What can kids do at the NSU Alvin Sherman Library this summer? There’s tons & tons of free family fun from Sunday, June 11 – Sunday, August 6! For a full listing for all our summer programs for children, teens and adults, visit public.library.nova.edu/summer

Earn prizes and a free book for reading with our Reading Rewards for Kids! Starting May 15, sign-up online for a chance to win free books! Reading Rewards begins on June 11, pick up your child’s reading log and help them keep track of their reading. Children show us their reading log each week and pick a prize from the treasure chest. Children who complete their reading log may select a FREE BOOK July 1 – August 6 at the Alvin Sherman Library (while supplies last).

Enjoy storytellers as they spin tales and build worlds within your child’s imagination at two special storytelling performances this summer on Storytelling Sundays! Explore our world with multicultural folktales; enjoy characters from the backwoods of old Florida in captivating, humorous “gator tales”. Recommended for ages 5 and up.

Sing! Dance! Play! Explore a joyous blend of music, games, songs and dances from a different region of the world each week at Music Around the World! Recommended for ages 6 – 10.

Create and investigate S.T.E.M. concepts at our S.T.E.M. for Tweens (for children ages 8 – 12) and Family S.T.E.M. (recommended for school-age children). Children explore S.T.E.M. concepts with awesome activities, excellent experiments and phenomenal guest presenters (including NSU professors)! Explore a world of stories! Build a love of books and reading at Shermanettes & Friends! Join our very own Shermanettes, winners of South Florida Parenting’s Kids Crown Award, for silly stories, songs and puppet show. Enjoy special storytime guests, including Mama Clown, Marci Poppins, Safari Sue and Jungle Jam Puppet Show. Recommended for children of all ages, with caregiver.

Enjoy puppet shows, live children’s music, clown science, and more on Super Saturdays! Recommended for ages 6 and up, siblings welcome with caregiver.
