Don’t Miss It! Neal Asbury Presents Discovery of the Americas and the Founding of the United States, Jan. 24

1-24-18-Neal-Asbury-presentationOn Wednesday, January 24, 2018 join us at the Cotilla Gallery at the Alvin Sherman Library for a unique opportunity to meet and hear Neal Asbury in person!

Asbury is a self-made, highly successful entrepreneur who has a passion for art and United States history. He has built an important antiquarian collection featuring maps, illustrations, and atlases from the Middle Ages onward, depicting historical subjects and far flung areas of the world.

In his presentation, Asbury will take attendees on a journey through the historical development of the United States from the early 1600’s to the 19th Century, and address the importance of the collection in his work and life.

Those who have witnessed this extraordinary exhibit in Asbury’s presence, which also includes a showcase of the Nuremberg Chronicle and other original historical items, have been fascinated by this collection and the accompanying pin-dropping oration.

Reception from 6 to 7 pm before the presentation. This event is free and open to the public but please RSVP at: http://sherman.library.nova.edu/sites/spotlight/event/asburylecture-2/
