Homecoming 2013 Continues! Anything that Floats Raft Race, Nov. 13
Homecoming 2013 is upon us, and there is so much to celebrate this year. We hope that you show your SharkPride throughout the week; you can view a complete list of homecoming activities here: http://www.nova.edu/studentactivities/homecoming/.
The annual Anything that Floats Raft Race will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 4:00-6:00 pm at Gold Circle Lake. Come out and support your favorite student organization.
Sea Thursday is scheduled for Nov. 14 at Noon in the Taft University Center and Homecoming Bash will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino from 10:00 pm – 2:00 am.
As part of the homecoming festivities, NSU will host a Game Day Pep Rally on Friday, Nov. 15 at Noon in front of the Taft UC. Then at 6:00 pm our men’s basketball team is set to host West Liberty. The Hilltoppers were recently ranked No. 2 in the preseason poll. Along with an exciting night of basketball, the crowning of the Homecoming Court will take place at halftime and there will be giveaways from Duffy’s Sports Grill, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Best Buy, and Barnes & Noble.
Coming off their first-ever appearance at the NCAA Division II Elite Eight, our women’s basketball team, recently ranked No. 4 in the preseason poll, has its home opener on Saturday, Nov. 9 against No. 22 Washburn. Tip-off is slated for 12:00 p.m. in the NSU Arena–don’t forget your SharkCard for free admission. Come out and support your Sharks! Finish off the 2013 Homecoming celebration by attending the Laugh Your Fins Off Comedy Show on Saturday, Nov. 16 in the Taft UC.
