Collegiate DECA Team Brings Home Honors

In its first year in operation, NSU’s collegiate DECA chapter, sponsored by the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship (HCBE), brought home honors from the recent 55th Annual Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Washington, D.C.

More than 1600 college students from the United States, Canada, China, Germany, Guam, Puerto Rico and England participated in the five-day event. The (ICDC) competitive events program gave participants the opportunity to put their experience, skills and knowledge to the test in 24 difference categories.

Placing Top Ten in competition finals were HCBE students Paul Mojica and Sundari Palanivel, Sports and Entertainment Marketing; and Daniela Pulgarin and Ethan Goldsmith, Financial Statement Analysis. Sergey Johnson, Banking and Financial Services, received an Award of Excellence in the preliminary competition.
