Circle of Friends to host “Mystery in the Library”, Nov. 11

2017-COF-Mystery-in-the-Library-Digital

Join the Circle of Friends on Saturday, November 11 for a night of magic, mystery and laughs as they host their 2nd annual “Mystery in the Library” event to help raise money for the NSU Alvin Sherman Library.  It’s going to be an abracadabra disaster and they’ll need your help to find the murderer before they vanish into thin air!  You are encouraged to come dress as a rival magician, a lovely assistant, or even a detective to this magical night of mystery… or just come as yourself, if you wish! The mystery will be held in the library’s second floor Cotilla Gallery. Doors open at 7:30 pm with food and drinks, and the crime scene begins promptly at 8:00 pm.

  • $75 per person for Circle of Friends members and guests; Non-members are encouraged to attend
  • Complimentary valet parking, dinner and drinks included
  • Reservations are required, no walk-ins
  • Underwriting opportunities available

To register, visit: https://www.nova.edu/cof/murdermystery/

The Circle of Friends is a diverse group of individuals who share the common goal of furthering the intellectual resources of the NSU Alvin Sherman Library. As a result of an innovative agreement between NSU and the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, the NSU Alvin Sherman Library is a unique joint-use facility. This means that anyone who lives, works or goes to school in Broward County is eligible to sign up for an ASL library card and access resources available at the Library, Research, and Information Technology Center.

Together, the Circle of Friends is dedicated to:

  • Promoting the development and achievements of the Alvin Sherman Library
  • Encouraging greater visibility and interaction between the Library and the University, its host community, alumni, and friends
  • Enriching the cultural life of the University and its larger community through funding of special exhibits, programs, and collections
  • Supporting the goals of the Library through volunteer activities and programs
  • Assisting in developing resources to benefit the Library and its departments and programs
  • Serving as a liaison with the private sector and building strong relationships between the Library, corporations, and foundations
