CEC’s AIS Student Chapter and Student Government Build Robots and Teach Coding to First Graders

First-graders from St. Jerome Catholic School

NSU’s College of Engineering and Computing’s (CEC) Association of Information Systems (AIS) Student Chapter and CEC’s Student Government, recently hosted first-graders from St. Jerome Catholic School in Fort Lauderdale. The day started with an introduction to robots and coding, followed by hands on experience building robots lead by members of AIS and SGA. After the robots were completed, the students received a mini tour of campus and NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library, and concluded with a pizza lunch in NSU’s Don Taft University Center
