CAHSS Student Presents at the American Society of Criminology Conference in New Orleans

Samantha Epstein at 2016 ASC Conference

Samantha Epstein, a senior at NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS), participated in the poster presentations at the 2016 American Society of Criminology Conference (ASC) held in New Orleans, November 16-19, 2016. The theme of the conference was “The Many Colors of Crime and Justice.” Her poster presentation was titled: “Male and female prison environments: Gender’s effect on performance and retention among female correctional officers.”

Epstein is a Criminal Justice major and her faculty advisor is Kendra Gentry, Ph.D., faculty in the Department of Justice and Human Services. She received conference funding through an NSU Pan Student Government Association Professional Development Grant.
