Former student worker to serve in Texas

: Assistant Professor Tammy Kushner, Psy.D., administers the oath of office to Stephen Grabner.

Assistant Professor Tammy Kushner, Psy.D., administers the oath of office to Stephen Grabner.

Stephen Grabner added “Captain” to his name on his way out of Nova Southeastern University.

Stephen Grabner, a College Psychology student, served as a student worker in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences’ Department of Justice and Human Services. Grabner was accepted for an internship at the U.S. Air Force Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center in San Antonio, Texas.

A current or prior military officer can complete someone’s commission by administering the oath of office. Grabner turned to Assistant Professor Tammy Kushner, Psy.D., a former Major in the Air Force.

“I was very honored when Stephen asked if I would complete his commission,” Kushner said.

The Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center houses the Air Force 59th Medical Wing, which provides health care, readiness, and conducts medical education and research.
