CAHSS Faculty Performs at Miami International GuitART Festival & Composition Competition

Celso Cano, M.M.

Celso Cano, M.M., adjunct faculty in the Department of Performing and Visual Arts in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS), performed at the Miami International GuitART Festival and Composition Competition.

“It was an incredible experience to be part of that festival,” Cano said.

He was also a recent guest/performer on NPR’s program, “Folk and Acoustic with Michael Stock.”

Cano received his M.M. in Guitar Performance from Florida International University. He studied with Illiana Matos in Barcelona, has been a guest artist with the Florida Grand Opera and a solo artist with the Tuscan Symphony Orchestra. He is currently working on a new CD.
