CAHSS CSI ExEL Event: Where Undergraduate Students Solve Crimes

The caper was dastardly; Dean Honggang Yang was abducted right in plain sight! Who were the culprits? Why did they do it? What clues do we have? Can we get our dean back? This was the scenario for the CAHSS Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) ExEL event held at the Performing and Visual Arts wing of the Don Taft University Center on Saturday, October 14, 2017.
NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) hosted about 75 undergraduates as they helped to decipher clues through various means including criminal justice techniques, genograms, writing, the arts, dramas, music, critical analysis, and others. All eight departments in the college participated and we are happy to report that the crime was solved and Dean Yang was safely returned! Students, faculty, and staff enjoyed the afternoon and students learned about our various programs.
