CAHSS Clinic Director and Students Present at the Solution-Focused Brief Therapy Association Conference

Arlene Brett Gordon, Ph.D., director of the Brief Therapy Institute in the Family Therapy Department (DFT) of NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS), and two doctoral students presented at this year’s Solution-Focused Brief Therapy Association Conference held in Santa Fe, NM, November 8-11, 2017.

Gordon and doctoral students, Nika Alakbarova, M.S. and Carlos Ramos M.S., presented a workshop entitled, “Solution-Focused Approach to Medical Family Therapy.” It focused on the collaboration between the Brief Therapy Institute/DFT in CAHSS and the College of Osteopathic Medicine. The Medical Family Therapy program provides therapeutic services, free of charge, as a supplemental service to patients receiving medical care at NSU’s medical clinics.
