CAHSS Alum Publishes Book on International Conflict Analysis in South Asia

Safeer Bhatti, Ph.D.

Safeer Bhatti, Ph.D., doctoral graduate in Conflict Analysis and Resolution in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS), has written a book entitled: International Conflict Analysis in South Asia: A Study of Sectarian Violence in Pakistan. The book, to be published this fall by Rowan and Littlefield, provides an analysis of the ideological relationship of the Muslim identity to its perceived practice of Islam among the Shia and Deobandi sects.

In addition to his doctoral degree, Bhatti earned an M.A. in International Peace and Conflict from Arcadia University, a M.L.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Villanova University.
