Burns, Nytorp Each Garner Weekly Conference Awards

Megan Burns & Julia Nytorp

Two Nova Southeastern University student-athletes were chosen as their respective sport’s Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Volleyball player Megan Burns (Fr., Sylvania, Ohio) earned the first SSC Defensive Player of the Week honor for volleyball of the 2015-16 season for her performance in the Sharks’ 2-1 week Oct. 26-Nov. 1, while women’s soccer midfielder Julia Nytorp (Sr., Sjalevad, Sweden) earned her first Women’s Offensive Player of the Week honor this season.
